"Dr. Robert Lawra Mount MD was born in Tennessee, July 21, 1867. He died at the Christian Church Hospital in Kansas City, July 11, 1924. He was married to Miss Mary Hudson, of Caldwell county, Dec. 24, 1890. To this union was born one son, Dr. Carl Mount, a Dental Surgeon. Dr. Mount professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the church at Catawba, Missouri. He was a member of the American Medical Society and also the Masonic Order, his membership being at Kingston, Missouri. He graduated from a medical college at the age of 24 and was a practicing physician until his death. He leaves to mourn their loss, an
aged mother, wife an son, Dr. Carl Mount, and one sister, Mrs James Phillips. He came from a family of nine children. Mrs Phillips being the only child now living. Polo, Caldwell county and the community surrounding, in which
he had practiced medicine the past 33 years, were shocked and
had reason to bow in humble sorrow when the news was flashed over the radio of the loss of a noble and exemplary citizen, a faithful friend and respected physician. His
qualities are being freely grouped by the ones who knew him
best as a working, sympathizing, skilled and faithful physician. We deeply sympathize with the dear aged mother, wife an son and assure them of the sincere feeling of the entire community. In his sudden and rather unexpected death, we deeply realize the shortness and uncertainty of
life, and we learn anew the lesson that we lik him, must sooner or later pass into the unknown and unseen to us. For
life physical is as a guest, come for one brief day and into
eternity we pass...."
