A.H. Buie, Sr, one of the patriarchs of Texas, died 9 December 1926 at the home of his son, R.B. Buie. Services were held at the home of his son, R.B. Buie officiated by Rev. W.C. Moffitt.
Mr. Buie and his wife were the parents of eight sons and one daughter: W.J. Buie, A.H. Buie, Jr., J.A. Buie, C.T. Buie, Victor Buie, who died during World War I in a training camp at Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. W.R. Underwood, J.P. Buie; three grandchildren - W.J. Buie, Mrs. Edna Noel and Mrs. Gladys Jones. No better people ever lived in this country than this family.
Mr. Buie was true to God, his church, the Baptist Church and to his fellowman.
The Barrow Furniture Company Undertaking department will have charge of the burial arrangements.
