Mrs. Pearl Gilmore, Meadville, died Monday at the Baptist Home in Ironton. She was 96.
Mrs. Gilmore was born Sept 23, 1885, in Grundy County, the daughter of John and Rachel Hann Grimes. On Nov. 15, 1901 she married Sam Gilmore. He died Feb 20, 1961. Mrs. Gilmore was also preceded in death by four chldren and six sisters.
Survivors include a brother, William E. Grimes, Linneus, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Olive cemetery, west of Purdin. The Rev. Lawrence Hammond will officiate. Burial will be under direction of the Wright Funeral Home of Meadville.
Pearl and Sam's families were living in Swann Township Taney Co. MO when they were married 15 Oct 1901 in Marion County Arkansas.
