Naval Air Crewman 2nd Class Aaron L. Clingman of Bend, Oregon attended Bend and Marshall High School. In the Navy, he completed a five-year tour, then re-enlisted last year and was expecting to go out on a deployment aboard the Nimitz in June. He leaves a baby girl born in July 2008. Aaron was aboard the HH-60 Seahawk helicopter that plunged into the Pacific Ocean near San Diego. The crew was part of the HS-6 anti-submarine squadron, based in San Diego and operating from the USS Nimitz. He was 25.
