Perry was a retired farmer and lumberman and was the son of Robert Walker and Julia Ashworth Raxter and husband of Reba McGaha Raxter. Daughters: Mrs. Agnes Henderson, Mrs. Maude Vaughn, Mrs. Geraldine Paxton, Mrs. Margaret Orr, Mrs. Laura Mae Burrell and Mrs. Nadine Ashe; sons, Calvin Raxter, Condon Raxter, Perry Raxter, Walter Raxter, and Preston Raxter; 43 grandchildren and 32 grandchildren.

Services 3 p.m. Monday Dunn's Creek Baptist Church. Internment Dunn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Personal Note: In researching this family, I have found out Robert Walker and Julia Ashworth Raxter spent their life in Dunn's Creek.
Perry was born in Dunn's Rock, Transylvania County, North Carolina. Perry passed away at his residence in Lake Toxaway, Transylvania County, North Carolina.
