Fritch A. Fleener
Fritch A. Fleener, 95, Martinsville, died Thursday at Kennedy Living Center, Martinsville.
He was born Nov. 5, 1903, in Brown County to Samuel T. and Martha A. (Fritch) Fleener. He married Mary Naomi (Richards) Fleener on Aug. 10, 1930, and she survives.
Mr. Fleener owned and operated Fleener's Feed Store in Flat Rock from 1945 to 1968, when he retired.
He helped organize the Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Department and served as fire chief.
Mr. Fleener was a former resident of Flat Rock and Fort Myers, Fla.
Other survivors include three daughters, Maxine Lain, Edinburgh, Judy Stevenson, Lafayette, Maryleah Fleener, Highland; a son, Wendell Fleener, Grapeview, Wash., nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with Pastor Al Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
