SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR LONGTIME RESIDENT
Mrs. Mattie Williams, longtime resident of Texico, died Friday morning in a Clovis rest home. Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Texico and the surrounding area for 54 years.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 6, at the Farwell Church of Christ with Dewey Fogerson officiating and Rev. Robert B. Hawkins, assisting.
Pallbearers were Wayne Martin, Howard Hooper, Ralph Boone, Preston Martin, Lynn Wright and A. D. McDonald.
Burial was in Texico Cemetery under direction of Sherwood Mortuary.
She is survived by two sons, Travis of El Paso and Andrew of Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph L. Mouser, Clovis, Mrs. Auddie Barker, Bellflower, Calif., and Mrs. Buford Benege, Cincinnati, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
