Mrs. Rachel Boyles, 69, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Franklin. For several years, she had lived with her children at their different homes.

Services were held at First Baptist Church in Stamford officiated by Rev. J.R. Balch, pastor of the Seymour Baptist Church and Otta Johnson, minister of the Seymour Church of Christ.

Rachel Snyder married George W. Boyles on 31 October 1895 at Mills County, Texas.

Mrs. Boyles had been an invalid since 1938, spending the larger part of her time with her daughter, Mrs. Joe Cockrell of Avoca. She moved to Seymour 10 weeks ago.

Survived by her children - Lester Boyles, Claudia Boyles, Mrs. V.M. Hamilton, Mrs. Gorman Morton, Mrs. Joe Franklin, Mrs. Joe Cockrell, Mrs. Charles Keck, Mrs. L.D. Lunday; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers - John and Ben Snyder.

George and Rachel Boyles moved to Baylor County in 1915 settling on the old Lankford place. They moved to Cache Creek Community in 1919 and then moved to Seymour in 1926. The couple moved to Wichita Falls in 1931.

Mrs. Boyles was converted at an early age and joined the Baptist Church. She attended services faithfully and she tried to carry out earnestly the mission for which she was given to the world. She will have a glorious reward for having carried out so well the teachings of her Lord and Savior.
