Obit: Lida Fern Felton
Lida Fern Felton died Saturday in a Lakewood convalescent center, following a long illness. Her home was at 1770 Ethridge Ave East. Mrs Felton was born in Springfield, South Dakota, on October 23, 1875, and lived in the State of Washington since 1848. She lived in Olympia since 1949. She was a member of the McKinley Christian Church and the Golden Age Club. Surviving are her husband, Conrad; two sons;Ralph Lowell, Portland; and Virgil Wayne Felton, Olympia; three daughters: Mrs Luella Fern Stantus, St Charles, Illinois; Mrs. Berneta Helen Newlon, Cathlamet; and Mrs Erma Felton Vansant, Tacoma; nine sisters and three brothers; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in the Selene and Eros chapel this Tuesday afternoon, starting at one-thirty o'clock. The Reverend Carl Wheeler, minster of the Tumwater Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Forest Memorial Gardens.

NOTE: The date of birth given in the obit is not correct. It should read 1895. Her father and mother were born in 1876. She was the firstborn of 16 brothers and sisters.
