According to Court records of Franklin County, PA, Jane and her two brothers John Marshall and William McCoy were orphaned by their parents, William and Jane Unknown McCoy. Jane married George Cook at age 19 in 1815 and they had twelve children: William Jackson, Rebecca, George Ankeny, Mary, Margaret, James Alexander, Sarah Jane, Joanna, Elizabeth, Samuel, John McCoy, and an infant who died at birth.
