Graveside services for Alma Willie "Bill" Winegar, 83, of Altus, Okla., and formerly of Crosbyton, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Crosbyton Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Winegar passed away Monday, May 2, at her son's home in Cleveland, Texas.

She was born July 3, 1921 to Richard Mack and Wealthy (Starrett) Spence in Crosby County. On Nov. 18, 1939, she married A.L. Winegar in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1997. She was a member of the Altus First Baptist Church and the Elizabeth Sunday school class. She was a homemaker and a member of the Home Extension Club. She moved to Altus in October 2000 from Farmersville, Texas. She is also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Winegar, in 1990; and three sisters, Alene Thornhill, Georgia Newman, and Floy Moore.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Harvey Mack and Linda Winegar of Cleveland, Texas; a daughter and her husband, Georgia Ann "Chick" and Mike Berry of Altus, Okla.; a sister, Nellie Winegar of Crosbyton; five grandchildren, Dusty Berry, Summer Hall, and Pete, Todd and Cindy Winegar; a step-grandchild, Brenda Dickins; and eight great-grandchildren, Cade and Chance Berry, Clint and Carrie Winegar, Rachel Aaron, John Logan and Chris Shelnut, and Aspen Hall.
