Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 19, 2003:

Our dear little son, Chelson Del Burns, was born on May 10, 2001, to us, Raylin and Jennifer Dyck Burns, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He quietly slipped away on August 20, 2003, at the same hospital, reaching the age of two years and three months. Death came as a result of complications of hydrocephalus.
We anticipated his arrival in our home and realized he was a special child. While he required extra care, yet we loved him dearly. He was a pleasant little boy, and we remember his ready smile, his little laugh, and his cheerful ways. He loved the outdoors, especially the windy days. He was delighted when others would play with him. There are some things in life we don't fully know or understand, and we may never know until we reach heaven's shore. Why our little Chelson was born as he was must be left in God's hands. We do know that Chelson taught us to love in an unconditional way and to be patiently compassionate. It seems that God's way of healing him was to take him to where there is no more sickness. While our hearts are sad and our arms seem so empty, we believe God must have seen fit to take this little flower while still a bud. We believe he will have a perfect body in that glorious world above. We look forward to meeting him there. Those left to cherish memories are his parents, Raylin and Jennifer; grandparents, Frank and Joleen Burns, Moundridge, Kansas, and Dwight and Martha Dyck, Moundridge, Kansas; great-grandparents, Emma Burns, Rio Verde, Brazil; John and Alice Dyck, and Roy and Evelyn Dyck, Hesston, Kansas; uncles and aunts: Darrin and Julie Burns, Ft. Sumner, New Mexico; Rojean and Andy Koehn, Tonasket, Washington; Anson Burns, Moundridge, Kansas; Andrew and Julie Dyck, Weston Dyck, and Jana Dyck, all of Moundridge, Kansas; and many cousins and friends who gave him special attention. The funeral service was held at the Meridian Congregation, Hesston, Kansas, on August 24, 2003. Min. Franklin Wenger, Min. Eldon Wenger, and Min. Shawn Giesel officiated. Interment was in the Meridian Church Cemetery, Hesston, Kansas.
