Charles E. Mutchler
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church for Charles E. MUTCHLER, 86, 1315 Bancroft avenue, who died at 3:45 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn hospital. Mr. Mutchler had been a patient in the hospital for three days, since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday.
The Rev. James RHOADS will have charge of the rites, and burial will be in Citizens cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
Mr. Mutchler was born Jan. 19, 1873, near Upper Sandusky, O., to Jacob and Matilda WILMUTH MUTCHLER. When he was five years old, the family moved by wagon from that city to the Bearss community near Reiter. Except for living several years in Hammond and Kewanna, he was a lifetime resident of Rochester.
At one time the owner of the Ault Medicine company, Mr. Mutchler later became a carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist churcvh and the Masonic lodge.
He was married at Young America Aug. 12, 1952, to Emma GILLILAND, who survives.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Edward and Orville GILLILAND, both of Rochester; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Chester McCALLA, also of here, and several nieces and nephews.
