Florence Pearl Ellis known by all as Pearl Was born February 16, 1925 in Bancroft, WI to Albert and Marion (Hutchinson) Ellis (in the family home, on the kitchen table). She married Donald Stanley Corkhill March 18, 1943 Together they raised 5 children Donald Robert, Barbara Ellen (Weis), Kevin Edward, Callie Ann (Graves) and Shelly Rae (Nienow). Things I remember about her are her wisdom, her quiet understanding and smile. I remember sleeping on pillows adorned with her liquid embroidery. She was an avid coin collector and had a large collection. She enjoyed travelling to visit relatives untill her health became an issue. She loved her grandchildren and they all were a great joy to her in her final years. She died Friday May 11, 1984 at Mercy hospital Janesville WI. And was Buried Monday May 14th in Plainfield cemetery Plainfield Wisconsin. She is deeply missed and her words and actions in life continue to influence the lives she left behind.
