Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Alice Adams, of Manzanola were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19,at Crist Mortuary Chapel in Manzanola. Conducting the service was Rev. Jay Reese, pastor First Christian Church.

With Mrs. Betty Zwick at the organ, Mrs. Carol Osborn sang "Tue Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lord's Prayer." Casket bearers were Willard Hoke, Dolph Hamby, Albert Nesselhuf, Claude P. Meyer, R.L. Land and Kenneth Smith. Burial was in Fowler Cemetery with Byron P. Griffy, funeral director for Christ Mortuary, in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Adams, a long time resistant of Manzanola, had been a of Pioneers Nursing Home for the past three years. She died September 17,1970 in Pioneers Memorial Hospital, Rocky Ford.

She was born February 13,1890 in Inman, Kansas, the daughter of Perry C. And Mary Ballantyne Ball. She married Roy R. Adams on October 8, 1911 at Greeley, where the couple homesteaded and lived for several years. They moved to Manzanola and farmed there for many years. Mr. Adams passed away several years ago. Mrs.Adams was a member of First Christian Church and Western Neighbors Club in Manzanola.

survivors include three sons, Robert Adams of Manzanola, Floyd Adams of Canon City, and Glenn Adams of Rocky Ford; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Bonnie) Holm of Othello, Wash., 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her oldest son Verl Adams of Forman, Arkansas, passed away in February of 1970.
