David Warren Agee, a retired employee of the Lower Hanover Canal Co., died Saturday, September 10 at Washakie Memorial Hospital. He was 88.
Agee was born on October 29, 1899 in Burlington, the son of John William and Charity (Hanner) Agee. He was raised in the Burlington area.
He married Opal M. Fletcher on October 26, 1925 in Basin.
The lived in Otto, Burlington, and Basin before moving to Worland in 1933. He them farmed, worked for the Highway department, Holly Sugar Corp. and the railroad before going to work for the Lower Hanover Canal Co. in 1946. He retired from the company in 1966.
Agee was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Eagles Lodge in Worland.
He is survived by his son Raymond of Pinole, California; two daughters Fern, (Mrs. Ben) Robinson of Klamatch Falls, Oregon, and Sharon (Mrs. Mason) Kelly of Worland; two brothers, Guy Agee of Casper and James Agee of California; sister Marry Moe of California; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1983, daughter Roberta Schwartz and granddaughter Linda Godfrey.
Bishop Eugene Whitlock will lead the funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday at the LDS Stake Center,. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
