Lyneve Rich Francis passed away on September 5, 2008 in Monetereau Health Center, in Tulsa, OK. She was born February 8, 1920, in Nashville, TN, to W.B. and Margaret Rich.
She graduated high school in Warrensburg, MO and attended the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS.
On February 17, 1939, she married Harrison Sam Francis in Warrensburg, MO.
The Francis family moved to Springfield, MO in 1966, after Col. Francis retired from the U.S. Army. They were residents of Springfield until Col. Francis' passing in April of 2002, when Lyn relocated to Oklahoma with her family.
Lyn was a long time employee of Barth's and Casual Corner in Battlefield Mall.
The Francis' were long time members of Immaculate Conception Parish in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam; and her sons, Mark and Tim.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ladorna Rich of Warrensburg, MO; daughter-in-law Carol of Wagoner, OK; grandson and wife of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter and husband of Fayetteville, AR; and three loving great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be September 9, 2008 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, MO, with a graveside service immediately following in Springfield National Cemetery.
