She married James Marvin Lumpkins 02 Oct 1867 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee. Eliza was the second wife of Rev. Lumpkins and they were the parents of four children before Eliza's untimely death in the early months of 1873.
Their children were Tealy Alice "Tabby", Mary "Mollie" L., Anna Elizabeth and Robert Lee Lumpkins; all of whom were born in Lawrence County and would, eventually, die there.
