Eva Louise Brown

Eva Louise Brown, 87, Columbus, who has family in Shelby County, died Sunday at the Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Columbus. She married Emitt Brown, who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1963.

Mrs. Brown worked in housekeeping at the former Larue Carter Memorial Hospital, Indianapolis, and at Bartholomew County Hospital, now Columbus Regional Hospital. She attended Bethel Holiness Church, Columbus.

Survivors include five sons, Donald E. Brown, Edinburgh, David E. Brown, Greenwood, William Rosier, Indianapolis, Phillip R. Brown, Taylorsville, and Jack Rosier, Crystal, Mich.; one daughter, Ruth A. Skinner, Columbus; 35 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, Columbus.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susie McCain officiating. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus.

Eva Louise Brown, 87, of Midway Street, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She worked in housekeeping at the former Larue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis and Bartholomew County Hospital. She attended Bethel Holiness Church.

Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Susie McCain officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
