Sergeant Andrew Anthony "Tony" Knapschafer, was a WW-I US-Army Veteran. Tony served in Company "E" 308th Engineers, and later in the Quartermaster Corps Detachment Camp Sherman, Ohio.

Tony the son of Herman Knapschafer and Elizabeth M. Steinke, married Mary Elizabeth Buschor the daughter of Joseph M. Buschor and Elizabeth Agnes Braun. They were married on September 5th, 1922 in Mercer County, Ohio.
