Stewart was the son of William Edwin Keen and his wife, Sarah Stover. He was born on June 13, 1884 in Pennsylvania.

In about 1909, Stewart married a young lady named Jenette (Jeanette) Margaret. Her maiden name is unknown at this time, as is their children's names, if any.

The 1910, 1920 and 1930 Censuses list William, Stewart's father, living with Steward and Jeanette. In a separate 1910 Census in Montour County, Stewart's mother, Sadie, is listed as an inmate in the State Hospital for the Insane.

In 1910, Stewart was working as a bus driver. In the 1920 Census, he is listed as working in his own business. It looks like "teaming" with "own team." It would be understandable if he was a teamster, with his own team. However, the illegible word doesn't end with an "r."

When Stewart registered for the draft of WWII in 1942, he was working as a groom for A.J. Schrader of Scranton, Pennsylvania. At that time, he was working at the Ackerly Fairgrounds in Dalton, Pennsylvania. His physical description at that time was: height 5' 11'', 195 pounds, white, blue eyes and brown hair.

Stewart passed away on April 5, 1960 in South Canaan Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on the 8th.
