MRS. BESTUL DIES -- CHURCH RITES PLANNED SERVICE IS SCHEDULED AT SCANDINAVIA IN WAUPACA COUNTY -- Mrs. Amelia Bestul, 91, mother of Mrs. Russell E. Hanson, 343 Ross Ave, died Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hanson home, where she had been residing for the last six months. Born March 20, 1874, in Scandinavia, Waupaca County, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johan Trinrud. She was married to Otto L. Bestul May 30, 1895, in Scandinavia. He died in 1938. A resident of Scandinavia her entire life, Mrs. Bestul was a member of the Scandinavia Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society. Survivors include two sons, James, Scandinavia, and Casper, city; two daughters, Mrs. Charley Flynn, Forest Park, Ill., and Mrs. Hanson; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Sheveland, Scandinavia. Friends may call at the Vole Funeral Home, Iola. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church, Rev. Eldon C. Peson officiating.
