She was a resident of Red Bank 20 years and had lived in Shrewsbury before coming to this borough. Mrs. Armstrong was one of the oldest members of the Shrewsbury Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a son, Charles C. Armstrong of Lincroft; a sister, Mrs. M.A. VanDerveer of Red Bank, and two brothers, Daniel Shutts of Asbury Park and Arthur Shutts of Cynthiana, Ky.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Mount memorial home with Rev. Arthur S. Joice, pastor of the Shrewsbury Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery at Shrewsbury.
