Betty married John P. Mallett of Painesville, and they shared 30 years of overseas-living in Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and the Philippines before returning to retire in Mentor in 1981. After her return to the area, Betty was active in the Altar Guild of St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville. She was a member of the Music and Drama Society, the Fortnightly Club, Gyrettes, DAR, and played in leagues at Erie Shores and Blackbrook golf courses. Betty also was greatly assisted by and included in the local family of her nephew, Bob Mallett; grandniece, Mindy Mallett; and grandnephew, Bobby Mallett.

Private services and burial will be held for Elizabeth L. Mallett, 83, of Mentor.
