They arrived in the Valley early in 1852 and went immediately to Provo, where they stayed a month and then went on to Palmyra to live. Indian problems forced them to move to Spanish Fork where there was a fort for protection. They lived there for eight years before moving to Heber Valley in the spring of 1860. They lived out their remaining years in Heber.
