A funeral service for Jesse Pat Jinkins, Jr., 56, will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, with the Rev. Sonny Scarborough, officiating. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery. Mr. Jinkin passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, at his home in Nacogdoches. He was born Nov. 16, 1952 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Jesse Pat Jinkins, Sr. and Billie Jean Kendrick Jinkins. Jesse had a great love for cars and was a great mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. A great handyman, Jesse could take things apart and put them back together. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jesse Jinkins III and wife, Stacy, of Nacogdoches, Texas; mother, Billie Jean Tindall of Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters, Patsy Jinkins Bailey and husband, Pat, of Austin; Brenda Jinkins Black and husband, Ross, of Central; grandchildren, Katie, Brittany, Katelyn, Jesse Jinkins IV; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Pat Jinkins, Sr. and his grandparents. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at the funeral home. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Director.
