Letitia Loisel Bride, long-time Sheridan resident, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2006 in McMinnville, at the age of 90.

Born on February 19, 1916 as Letitia Loisel Haas, she was the eldest daughter of Ernest and Letitia Haas of Sheridan.

Loisel graduated from Oregon State College in 1937 and became a registered pharmacist. Cliff and Loisel were married on Thanksgiving Day – November 25, 1937. This was a special date as her mother and sister also were married on the same date when it fell on Thanksgiving (1909 and 1943).

Cliff and Loisel made their home in Sheridan where he later became the postmaster and she owned the drugstore. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world. Their professional travel slide presentations were enjoyed by many. Her hobbies included coin and stamp collecting, plus dancing.

In 1992, Loisel orchestrated a tour of Europe for the entire family – children, spouses, grandchildren, friends and relatives – for a perfect trip with endless memories.

Loisel was active in civic life, participating on the local school board, the American Legion Auxiliary, a lifetime member of Ethel Rebekah Lodge #162, a member of the Oregon State Pharmaceutical Association, Girl Scout Leader and a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

In addition to her loving husband of 68 years, Cliff, she is survived by 5 children, Marilyn Levy, Donna Firestone, Connie Plowman, Ross Meyers, Maxine Stannard; nephew Don Yates; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Her parents & sister, Iola , preceded her in death.

Viewing and video history will be Wednesday, August 30 from 1 to 7 pm at Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, August 31 at the United Methodist Church, Sheridan. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
