Harvey W. Barrick, 71, of 208 Meals Drive, South Middleton Township, died Thursday, June 21, 2001 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born April 4, 1930 in Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Calvin and Vera Hummel Barrick.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Barrick was the recipient of the Bronze Star and was an employee of the former Firestone Tire Company, Carlisle.
He was a former commander of American Legion Post 101, Carlisle, and also a former Boy Scout master in Newville.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Fae Shumaker Barrick; three sons, James R. of Boiling Springs, Keith A. of Mechanicsburg and Michael E. of Carlisle; three daughters, Cindy L. Barrick of Boiling Springs, Lisa K. Grove and Deborah A. Zeigler, both of Carlisle; one sister, Janice Marpoe of Carlisle; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. David E. Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
