DEATH CLAIMS MRS. JEMMETT

SHELLEY, Feb. 26 - Elizabeth Goddard Jemmett, 89, one of the areas oldest ladies, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Dial, Firth, Friday evening from a lingering illness.

Mrs. Jemmett was born Oct. 17, 1875, at Sameria, Idaho, to Lee and Amelia Thorpe Goddard. Her early life was spent in the Sameria and Collinston, Utah areas. She came to Blackfoot where she was married to Henry Jemmett, July 17, 1892. They homesteaded in the Cedar Creek area along the Blackfoot River, where they made their home for many years.

Mr. Jemmett passed away in 1948, and she operated rooming houses in Shelley, Blackfoot and Idaho Falls. The last two years she made her home with her daughter in Firth.

Survivors include three sons: Clifford Jemmett, Blackfoot, Frank Jemmett, Melba, and Russell Jemmett, Silver Creek, Wash.; and two daughters Mrs. John Elsie Dial, and Mrs. Elva Jones, both of Firth. In addition there are 28 grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
