Antonio R. Sermeno, 81, of Miami died Dec. 20, 2004, at Cobre Valley Community Hospital. He was born in Miami.
He was a World War II Army veteran and coached sports. He was a top golfer and was inducted in the Arizona Softball Hall of Fame.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim Serme?o of Miami; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Toni Ann and Tom Rodriguez and Theresa Powell of Mesa, Suzie and Frank Tena of Miami, and Veronica and Richard Philpot of Globe; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 23 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami. Interment was in Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights. Miles Funeral Services Miami handled arrangements.
