KELSEY -- John Rolland (Larkin) Kelsey, age 88, died Friday, May 16, 2008. John was a US Army Veteran who Honorably served his country during WWII. He retired as a machinist for General Electric. John was an avid volunteer for the New Mexico Search and Rescue Dogs. As well, he was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and the Gray Gladiators volunteers. John enjoyed camping, pottery making and wood carving. John was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Virginia. Survivors include his sons, Jim, Richard and Marty and his daughter, Nancy; fifteen grand children; numerous great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of Beehive Homes of Rio Rancho, the VA, Hospice of New Mexico; M&M Noland and Valle Norte Caring Center. A private burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008
