Obituary:
Funeral services for Della Ambrosi, 85, of Country Meadows, Hampden Township, and formerly of Carlisle, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg.
She died Monday, April 26, 1999 in Bethany Village, Lower Allen Township.
Born April 25, 1914 in Mechanicsburg, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Fannie F. Vogelsong Shaull and the widow of Carroll A. Stought and Aldo A. Ambrosi.
Retired as a school teacher in the Cumberland Valley School District, she was the last surviving teacher of the former Eberly School.
A former volunteer for Carlisle Meals on Wheels. she was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Churchtown; Ladies Auxiliary of Boiling Springs VFW 8851; Farm Women's Group No. 11; and Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association.
Mrs. Ambrossi is survived by a son, Richard A. Stought of Camp HIll; two daughters, Patricia S. McKee of Conyngham and Virginia S. Fry of Naperville, Ill.; and two sisters, Marjorie Wimer and Vera Fittrer, both of Mechanicsburg.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Roy Shaull, and seven sisters, Grace and Mildred Rupp, Ruth Brinton, Nellie and Esther Basehore, Maude Kreitzer and R. Mabel Sutton.
The Rev. Kathleen G. Coleman will officiate at services. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
