Calvin Phillips, 55, a native of Owen County, died Thursday at his home in Camby following a long illness. About a year ago he suffered a brain operation, but pneumonia actually caused his death. Everett, of Spencer; Kenneth, Coal City; and Walter of Halbrook, Ariz.; and one sister, Mrs. P. R. Terrell, of Washington. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Spencer Baptist Church, and interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
