Richard Sandusky Johnson was the son of Cecil Sharon Tipton Johnson (1883 - 1970) and Dr. Albert Sidney Johnson (1881 - 1971).

He married first in New Bern, Craven Co., Nc, May 8, 1942, Alma Caroline Hall, born ca 1917, died age 65 July 23, 1982, daughter of Elizabeth Rodgers and Mathew L. Hall.

He married second Lillian Roberts. She was born March 25, 1923.

Colonel Richard S. Johnson, was regimental commander of replacement troop training at Camp Lejeune and a veteran of Guadalcanal in World War II.

He served in World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam.

They had children:

1. Richard Sandusky "Dick" Johnson, #37104694, born in Alabama Oct 24, 1943; KIA Quang Ngai, Vietnam, Mar 26, 1967; m. Elizabeth Scovil

2. Albert Sidney Johnson III, b. Dec 12, 1947
