Carl W. Buckley, 79, White Heath, died December 12, 1994 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Funeral services were held December 15 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with burial in Monticello Cemetery.

He was born October 10, 1915 at Pana, a s/o Frank and Della Neece Buckley. He married Wilma E. Payton on November 10, 1934 at Taylorville. She survives along with sons: Carl Frank of White Heath; and Charles R. of Monticello; daughters: Barbara G. Chalk, Boston MA; and Linda Culver, Winona MN; sisters: Pauline Silknitter, Catherine Sims and Agnes Braswell, all of Pana; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Mr. Buckley was a retired postmaster in White Heath and a WW II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Monticello Masonic Lodge 58 and Hamm-Burke American Legion Post 101. Memorials may be made to the White Heath Community Club or the White Heath United Methodist Church.
