Paulette passed away Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009, at her home in Fairmont after a five year courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Lakeview Funeral Home.
Paulette Mary Bielejeski was born on April 9, 1951, in Browerville, Minn., the daughter of Clem and Veronica (Waletzko) Bielejeski. Paulette grew up in Henderson, Minn., and graduated from high school there in 1969. After high school she moved to Washington and lived with her sister and brother-in-law for one year. She moved to Bloomington, Minn., in 1970, and attended school to become a Medical Assistant. Paulette met Dean Dwyer in 1972, and they were married in Henderson, Minn., on June 16, 1973. After their marriage they lived in Eagan, Minn., until moving to Fairmont in 1987. She worked in St. Peter for a short time. In 1989, Paulette began working at the Fairmont Medical Clinic as a medical assistant, where she was currently employed.
Paulette loved all forms of exercise and staying fit which included biking, yoga, walking, aerobics and hiking. She enjoyed watching her kids' sporting events, entertaining family and friends, cooking, traveling, and later in life being a grandma. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the Ladies Circle.
Those who will cherish her memory include her husband, Dean Dwyer of Fairmont, Minn.; daughter, Rachel Mezera and her husband, Brian, and their children, Jaiden and Jakob, of Hutchinson, Minn.; son, Nicholas Dwyer and his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Allison, of Rockford, Minn.; one brother, Stan Bielejeski and his wife, Judy, of Cleveland, Minn.; one sister, Pat Sigler and her husband, Satch, of Camano Island, Wash.; mother-in-law, Carol Dwyer of Burnsville, Minn.; brother-in-law, Richard Dwyer of Coon Rapids, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Darren Bielejeski and wife, Brianna of Minneapolis, Ross Bielejeski of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Stephanie Kasper of Camano Island, Wash., Brian Dwyer and wife, Jenny and children of Northfield, Minn., Maureen Barker and husband, Ben and children of Farmington, Minn.; four step-sisters and one step-brother and their families; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Clem and Veronica, Paulette was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Karen Dwyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society or the Martin County Hospice.
