Mrs. Minnie Taylor, 53, wife of Marshall Taylor, RR 5, Decatur, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's hospital. Mrs. Taylor became ill Sunday & was taken to the hospital, where she submitted to a major operation.
Mrs. Taylor's maiden name was Minnie Turner. She was born in KY 11May1880. She & Marshall Taylor were married in 1901. They have made their home in Decatur for the last 14 years.
She leaves her husband, 5 sons & 3 daughters: Edward, Howard, Carl, Foster, Neal, Mrs. Margaret Wooley & Misses Lucille & Dorothy Taylor, all of Decatur. She also leaves 5 brothers & a sister: Joseph Turner, Nashville, TN; George Turner, Indianapolis, IN'; Thomas Turner, Decatur; Jack Turner, Bement; James Turner, KY & Mrs. Geneva Borders, Decatur. The body was taken to the Moran & Son Funeral home.
Minnie was the daughter of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Sapp, both of Kentucky.
