COALVILLE
- Earl Huffman Bagnell, 82, passed away Friday, April 13, 2001 at his home in Coalville, following a lengthy illness.
Earl was born in Coalville, UT July 17, 1918 the ninth of ten children to William and Gertrude Huffman Bagnell.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coalville 2nd Ward.
He graduated from North Summit High School. He enlisted in the Navy Sea Bees and served his country three years in the South Pacific Island theatre, during World War II.
He married Wilma Robinson Nov. 1, 1947 in Coalville. They have enjoyed 53 years together.
He was employed by the Utah Wildlife Resources for 31 years, as a conservation officer and maintenance specialist for the Northern Legion. He was also a mink rancher for 20 years.
Earl loved the outdoors and taught his children and grandchildren to respect and appreciate its value.
Earl was a gentle, caring man with many talents. His greatest joy in life was his family and his special grandchildren: Jaime, Brady, Terrance, Nick, Adria, and Justin. They brought him countless hours of pleasure and he leaves them with priceless memories.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Scott Bagnell, Jean (Jim) Wilson, Rod (Lisa) Bagnell; six grandchildren, all of Coalville; one sister, Valate B. Campbell, Lehi, UT; one brother, Jake (Peg) Bagnell, Panguitch, UT; also many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, one son, and two grandchildren.
He will be forever in our hearts. We would like to give a special thanks to Bishop Chris Boyer and Dr. Wain Allen for all their care and concern.
Services will be Tues. April 17, 2001, 12 noon in the Coalville LDS Stake Chapel, Coalville, UT. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville, Mon. 6-8 p.m. and Tues. 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment, Coalville Cemetery.
