In 1880 she and her parents and surviving sister lived on a farm in West Franklin Township next door to Robert Huston and his wife Eliza Minteer and their family. Her mother was ill with "ulcers on womb", so they had a housekeeper living with them: 20-year-old Harriet Anthony.

In 1900 she and her parents and three siblings lived on a farm in the same township--possibly the same place. They owned their farm, mortgage free. Marinda worked as a school teacher and Jeremiah as a farm laborer.

In 1910 she and her husband lived in a place they were renting in Ward One in Vandergrift, PA. He worked as a pair heater in a sheet steel mill. They also had a servant living with them, 20-year-old Bessie Claypoole, who must have been some degree of cousin as well.

In 1920 her father, sister Marinda, and brother Earl lived with her and her husband in a house they owned, mortgage free, in Vandergrift, PA. George worked as a pair (or pan?) heater in a steel mill and Earl as a laborer in a box factory.

In 1930 she and her husband lived in a house they owned at 170 Grant Avenue in Vandergrift. Their home was valued at $7000 and they did not have a radio. Her sister Miranda and two roomers also lived there.

In 1940 they lived in the same house, which was valued at only $5000 after the Great Depression. Her sister, brother Earl, and two lodgers also lived in the house.

In 1950 she, her sister Miranda, and a lodger, 80-year-old Sara P Miles, lived there in Apartment A. (They were apparently renting out Apartment B.) In 1949 she had interest and/or other income of $148, and Miranda and Sara had a combined income from interest and/or other sources of $547.
