A native of Edmeston, he had lived in Syracuse most of his life. He was the owner of C.S. Yarrington Oil Co., and also was a chemical consultant,
Yarrington was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church and of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was a graduate of Norwich High School and Colgate University. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge 513.
Surviving are his wife, Leona R,; a son, James C. of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Helen Y. Stone of North Syracuse; twobrothers, Theodore of Clinton and Merton of LaCrosse, Wis.; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Goddard Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 3111 James St.
