Mr. Gipson was known for his mechanical skills at Stewart-Potts Dealership and tractor mechanical skills at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration.

He was a member of a local Black Baseball League in Shelbyville. These teams played on Sunday afternoons on the Tillman Street property. Clyde Britton and "Hoagie" Allison were two of the baseball players.

Cause of Death: Suicide
