Albert Lee Verrette died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1995, at his residence. He was 70, a native of Opelousas and a resident of Denham Springs. He was an industrial painter, member of Painters Local No. 728 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survived by wife, Irene C. Verrette; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Verrette and Mike Berg, New York City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Lee and Suzan Verrette, and Matthew Wayne and Lisa Verrette, all of Denham Springs; two sisters, Mary DeVillier and Verla Aymond, both of Opelousas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

He was a member of Berean Bible Fellowship Church, Baton Rouge. Memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
