Dow D Herron, 93,of 1347 Winona Ave., formerly Parkerburg, died Saturday in Monongalia General Hospital.

Born Feb. 14, 1883 in Blue Rock, Randolph County, he was a son of James F. and Sarah Ann Cutright Herron.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Harris of Morgantown, Mrs. Wilma Foggin and Mrs. Evelyn Lemon, both of Parkersburg, Mrs. Wanda Radka of McMurray, Pa., Mrs. Beatrice Flannigan and Mrs. Elva Snyder, both of Painsville, Ohio; four sons, Steve of Phoenix, Arz., Troy, Odie and Burl, all of Fairmont; one sister, Russie Ware of Webster Springs; three brothers, Guy of Martinsburg, Boyd of Century and Acie of Mill Creek; 34 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Iva Bennett Herron and his second wife, Ida Mae Nichelson Herron and one son, four brothers, four sisters and five grandchildren.

He was a member of the Evangelical Congretional Church in Clarksburg.

Friends may call at Franklin & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapel in Parkersburg where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Revs. O.D. Harmon and Arthur Mace, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg.
