David Bradburn, age 90, died early Friday at the home at his daughter, Mrs. John King, in Fort Wayne where he has been spending the winter, relatives in Arcadia were advised. The body was brought to the Shaffer funeral home in Arcadia Friday afternoon but no arrangements have been made for the funeral. The burial will occur in the Arcadis cemetery.
For some time Mr. Bradburn has been spending the winters with his daughter in Fort Wayne and his summers in Arcadia. He was getting ready to return to Arcadia in a short time when he was stricken with his fatal illness.
A son of Charles and Margaret Bradburn, he was born in Rush county, Oct 17, 1855, being a member of a family of fourteen children. He came to this part of the state in an early day and settled in the soutehrn part of Tipto county where as a young man he assisted in clearing land. In 1880 he was united in marriage to Delilah Moore. In his more active life he followed farming. About thrity five years ago he and his family located in Arcadia. For a long time he was employed on the old Lake Erie and Western railroad section but during the latter years of his life he was engaged in carrying the mail between the ost office and the station.
Mrs. Bradburn died Feb 26, 1942. They were the parents of three children. One of them is deceaed. Those who survive are Mrs. King and Charles Bradburn of Elwood. Also living are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Mary Shoemaker, near Noblesville; Mrs. Joseph Brenner, of Indianapolis, William Bradburn, of Frankton, and Clell Bradburn, of Fresno, California.
