Rosa Abrams
Rosa Abrams, 85, Rushville, died Monday at her home.
Born Oct. 16, 1912, in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of Silas and Betty (Smith) Davidson. On June 29, 1932, she married Dora Everett Abrams, and he preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1986.
Mrs. Abrams was a homemaker. She had been employed as a seamstress at the Schnadig Corp. furniture factory at Rushville from 1950 to 1971.
She was a member of the Clover Bottom Baptist Church in Kentucky.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Abrams, Milroy; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Hazel) Tackett, Three Oaks, Mich., Mrs. Joyce Raab and Mrs. Bill (Rosemary) Scott, both of Rushville; one brother, Andy Davidson, Sand Gap, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Burial will be in East Brook Cemetery near Milroy.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Decatur County Hospice or to Tri Kappa.
