W C. Scrivner, 34, died this morning in the waiting room of the Illinois Central Railroad Company. He had been suffering from effects of a tumor on the brain for about 18 months. Accompanied by his father, H. M. Scrivner, he was en route home from a Memphis hospital when the end came. Funeral services will be held at Old Remus Baptist church, near Edinburg, Friday, the Rev. Mr. Jones, pastor, officiating. He is survived by a wife and two children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Scrivner and the following brothers and sisters: Pressly Scrivner, Martin Scrivner, Robert Scriver of Dossville; Mrs. T. E. Ratcliff, Canton; Mrs. W. C.
