She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodie Essary and Harvey Hopkins; her daughter, Linda Essary Gault; her parents; her sister, Earline Shackleford; and her brother, Kirt Elmore.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Essary Kirkpatrick (James) of Northport, Ala.; her son-in-law, Eddie Gault (Edith) of Reform, Ala.; her sister, Gaye Latham (Millard) of Carrollton, Ala.; three grandchildren, Jess Gault (Shelly) of Spring, Texas, Eric Kirkpatrick and Amy Kirkpatrick, both of Northport, Ala.; two great-grandsons, Thomas Gault and Andrew Gault; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Claudine was born October 16, 1922, in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James Victor Elmore and Mary Elizabeth Sudduth Elmore. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Reform, a homemaker and life long resident of Pickens County.
Honorary pallbearers are staff and residents of Morning Pointe Assisted Living, Southern Care Hospice, special caregivers, Brenda Brown, Irene Watts, Pat Sudduth, Louise Wheat, and Connie McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Reform, P.O. Box 178, Reform, AL 35481.
