Mrs Altman died Sunday at Hospital

Mrs Anna C Altman 80 widow of Dewey D Altman died Sunday night in the Georgetown County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 11 am in Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating was the Rev Robert J Howell. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Mayer Funeral Home.

Mrs Altman was born in the Union Community of Georgetown County on Nov 11 1897 a daughter of the late Edward Britton and Mrs Sarah Ann Owens Cribb. She had lived in this area all of her life. Mrs Altman was a saleslady for many local stores including Ringel's Bodians, and LH Siau Jewelry Store. During past several years she had been engaged in catering. She was a member of the Bishop Tarbeau Circle of the United Methodist Women and Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a brother Rufus J Cribb of Georgetown two sisters Mrs Bell C Avant of Lancaster and Mrs Louise C Smith of Georgetown.
