Death Occurs in New York Yesterday -
Well Known Here
A telegram from Mrs. Griffin in New York to Mrs. J.I. Ford last night brought the sad news of the death of Marion Campbell Griffin, who was well known and greatly liked in this community. He was among the many victims of the prevailing Spanish influenza which is proving so fatal in the large Eastern cities.
The burial will be in the family plot in Natchez, Miss., Mr. Griffin's home city.
The sympathy of this community goes out in full measure to Mrs. Griffin, who before her marriage was Miss Belle Foster of Pascagoula, and whose wide circle of local friends share her sorrow.
