Arthur G. Bender, 78, died Saturday evening at the Dee Hospital following a three-day illness.
He was born Nov. 29, 1884 in Somerset County, Pa., the son of John and Sevilla Keim Bender. He has resided in Ogden the past 48 years.
He was married to Diantha (Dot) Glines March 6, 1918 in Farmington. Mr. Bender was a clerk.
Survivors include his widow, a son, Clair G. Bender, Burbank, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Speedo (Bertie) Harmes, Mrs. Kenneth (Carole) Hampson and Mrs. Merle B. Close, all of Ogden; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Chapel of the Dawn where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 and Wednesday until the service. Interment will be in Ogden City Cemetery.
